Next Week

Can't wait till next week!  I will be out of the Hellhole for a whole week!  Yeah!!!  I've been sending out resumes still...  have been for the last year!  I feel like I'm getting no where real fast.  And not just with that.  I'm still not smoking but I want to so bad every day.  The diet and the gym are producing some results I guess, just not as much as I thought. 

The holidays are coming and I really dislike that time of year; and it's getting worse as I get older.  I think most of my dislike is because it's being pushed by the retail industy earlier and earlier every year.  I stopped at Walmart on Monday and the Salvation Army was out ringing their bell already!  Geesh, let us get through Thanksgiving first will ya???  Why can't we push the real meaning of the holidays???  Oh yeah, there's no money to be made in that is there?

Rockefeller Christmas Tree

It's that time of year again.  The lighting ceremony will be held in a few weeks (Nov. 28) at Rockefeller Center in NYC.  And this year the tree is from CT again.  This is the fourth year in the last eight years that the tree has come from CT.  (I'm thinking maybe because of the close proximity to the City that it may lower the cost of transporting it?)

Checking In...

Just a quick check in.  Not much going on in my boring uneventful life.  I hit the three month mark with quitting!  I'm on my second online class for the year.  I have a paper due tomorrow that I haven't started! LOL 

Did anyone hear about the accident in CT last Friday morning?  Tanker truck, tractor trailer, and I think 4 cars.  Three fatalities and several injuries.  I-95, in both directions, was shut down for 20 hours!  Here's a link to the story:  Tanker Accident  Actually this story is about one of the injured, but describes the accident.  Then the next morning another accident happened about 1/2 mile away!  There's a link for that at the bottom of the other story.

Done With One...

So the Sox are up 2-0 in the World Series.  This is so cool!  I’ve been a Sox fan since my kids were young and started playing Little League.  I never really paid attention to baseball before that.  I guess I picked a great team to back.  They’ve been good over the years but they always “gave it up” at the end of the season! 

Well, it’s time to get myself moving…  yes it’s time to go to work again.  TGIF though.

In Desperate Need...

Is there anyone out there who would be willing to look over my resume and give me pointers?  If so, send me a PM... I would appreciate any help given.

I have got to find a new job soon!  I found out today that the VP of Finance thought I was doing homework on company time!  Does he really think that I am that stupid to jepordize my job over that?  I do get a half an hour for lunch (unpaid) and I would think that I can do what I want on my time!  My god, if he thinks I'm incompetent and not trustworthy why the hell am I still employed?  I did go to HR again and this time she was more understanding about the situtation.  She didn't try to give excuses and actually let me talk!  I think her attitude about him has changed because others have complained so now it doesn't look like it was just me!  I told HR that this (everything he's done) is bordering on harrassment!  If I didn't carry the benefits for my family, I would have walked today!
